France’s Jeremie Zouari has claimed his second EPT title after defeating a field of 32 entries in the EPT €10,200 6-Max Turbo.

After many days of multi-day tournaments, it was refreshing to see one that took only six and a half hours to complete. And this was one that had plenty of top talent to showcase.

The field consisted of 32 entries, building a prize pool of €310,400.

Zouari banked €107,200 for his victory but was likely more happy with bagging his second Spadie after taking down the €3,000 Mystery Bounty event at the 2023 EPT Monte Carlo.

His compatriot Thomas Eychenne crossed the $2,000,000 barrier with his runner-up finish, once again denied a first live tournament trophy with his third EPt second place.

Action Recap

Alexander Ivarsson was the man bossing the field as the final table began. He knocked out Biao Ding to break the money bubble, quickly followed by sending home Akseli Hosia, Ren Lin, and Sam Greenwood.

In the blink of an eye, there were only three players left.

Now it was Ivarsson’s turn to suffer some misfortune in two hands played against Zouari.

First he doubled up the Frenchman and then called off the remainder of his chips with top pair against Zouari’s pocket aces.

Zouari was now sat with a three-to-one advantage which was whittled away over a few levels to leave the pair even.

But normal service soon resumed with Zouari relieving Eychenne of the rest of his stack.

Eychenne raised to 45,000 with Q♦ Q♠ and Zouari called with 7♦ 6♣.

The flop came down 9♣ 8♣ 6♠. Zouari checked and Eychenne bet 75,000. Zouari then jammed the rest of his stack and Eychenne called.

The turn was a neutral A♣ but the 6♦ on the river gave Zouari a much deserved win and a nice prize of €107,200.
